A pre-production Rivian electric delivery van was spotted at a fast-charging station. The electric vehicle was captured on video footage and shared on YouTube for all of us to enjoy.

Rivian’s largest investor and customer Amazon has ordered 100,000 electric delivery fans from Rivian by the end of 2025, with 10,000 vehicles to be delivered this year.

It is unclear if any Rivian electric delivery vans have been delivered to Amazon as of yet, eventhough that was a target of 2021.

Rivian EDV captured on video

It is worth noting that the Rivian electric delivery van pre-production prototype in this video is partially held together by what seems to be duct tape.

The driver of the van is not pleased with the vehicle being captured on video and threatens to call the cops.

It seems to be the same or at least similar preproduction prototype as spotted in Woodhaven Michigan in December 2021.

Rivian has kept quiet on development, revealing only the total figures of electric vehicle manufacturing (1,015) and deliveries (920) for the year.

According to previously released information, the EDV will be available in a range of configurations, including three different lengths. It should eventually be extended to non-Amazon vehicles.
